Eugenia Sánchez Durán

PIANO

Born in Murcia in 2004. She began her studies in Murcia in 2010 and since 2016, she continued her studies with Maestros Leo de María and Leonel Morales Alonso in Madrid with whom she is currently studying the first course in the Degree in Music Performance at the Alfonso X el Sabio University in Madrid.

She has won the First Prize at the 22nd International Piano Competition Compositores de España (Competition within the World Federation of International Music Competitions, WFIMC), prize at the Preisträgerkonzert at the Internationale Sommerakademie of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and the Second Prize at the National Piano Competition Juventudes Musicales de Albacete and Julia Guigó del Toboso Prize for the best interpretation of Spanish music among others.

She has also received master classes from masters such as Natalia Trull, Pavel Gililov, John Perry, Vincenzo Balzani or Leonel Morales among others. She has participated in numerous festivals such as the María Herrero in Granada (2016-2021), the Internationale Sommerakademie Universitat Morzarteum Salzburg (2017, 2019 and 2022) and Hotchkiss Piano Summer Portals (2018) Lakeville, CT, USA among others.

In addition in August 2022 she was invited to play at the Max-Schlereth Saal as part of the Salzburg International Festival. She has also played in important halls both in Spain and abroad, mentioning Carnegie Hall in New York, the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, the Solitär Hall in Salzburg (Austria), in the Katherine M. Elfers Hall Auditorium of the Hotchkiss School (Lakeville, Connecticut) USA or the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando (Madrid), among others.
