Diego Navas Padilla


Diego Navas Padilla is a pianist born in 1998 in Madrid. In 2016, he finished his Professional Degree in Music studies at the “Isaac Albéniz” Professional Conservatory with an Honorable Mention in piano. In 2020, he completed the Degree in Musical Interpretation of Classical Music at the Alfonso X El Sabio University in Madrid with the highest marks and the Extraordinary Prize “End of Degree” under the direction of Maestro Leonel Morales Alonso. During the four years he has been awarded the U.A.X. and the Scholarship of Excellence of the Community of Madrid. In 2020, he began the Master in Musical Interpretation and Performative Research at the same university under the tutelage and direction of Maestro Leonel Morales Alonso.

He has received master classes from: Antonio Sánchez Lucena, Gustavo Díaz Jerez, Judith Jáuregui, Iván Cítera, Piotr Paleczny, Vadim Gladkov, Mendmaa Dorzhin, Albert Atenelle, Tommaso Cogato, Andrés Alén, Loly Novás, Andreas Frölich, Pavel Gililov, Giuliano Mazzocante Ilja Scheps, Yuri Didenko, Leo de María, Jacques Rouvier, Ángel Sanzo, Arkady Zenziper, Yaron Kolberg, Andrea Bonatta, among other outstanding pianists.

He has been awarded numerous times. The following First Prizes in the competitions stand out: X International Piano Competition “María Herrero”, XXIX National Piano Competition “Jacinto Guerrero”, VII International Competition “Little Great Pianists”, XI, XII and XIV Conservatory of Music “Isaac Albéniz”. Also, he has won the following Second Prizes: I and II International Piano Competition “Julio García Casas”, VII National Competition “Ciudad de Cuenca”, XVIII Competition “Ciutat de Xativa” among others.

In 2018 he was selected to represent Spain in the prestigious 63rd International Grotrian Piano Competition in Hannover, Germany.

In 2020 he has performed as a soloist with the Alfonso X El Sabio University Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andrés Salado.

He has given recitals in venues such as Wiener Saal in Salzburg (Austria), Kleines Studio Universitat Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria), Concert Hall of the Cologne Music University in Aachen (Germany), “Theater und Mediem” in Hochschule für Musik Hannover (Germany), “Cultuurraad Kraainem” from Brussels (Belgium).

In Spain he has played in concert halls like the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid, the Ateneo Theater in Madrid, the Mira de Pozuelo Theater (Madrid), Auditorium of the Royal Tapestry Factory (Madrid), the Federico García Lorca Theater in Getafe (Madrid), the Majadahonda Auditorium, the Viñagrande Cultural Center in Alcorcón (Madrid)…
