Marta Tejero


She has studied piano since she was 6 years old, first at the Archidona Music School and from the age of 9 at the Antequera Music Conservatory with the piano teacher Mª Teresa Moreno Rueda.

At age 12 she began her studies in Madrid with Professor Leo de María, under the supervision of Professor Leonel Morales Alonso.

She is currently enrolled in the undergraduate course at the “Alfonso X el Sabio” University with Professor Leonel Morales Alonso.

She has received Masterclasses from teachers such as Antonio Sánchez Lucena, Paula Coronas, Gisele Witkowski, Yuri Bogdanov, Fabio Witkowski, Vicenzo Balzani, Pavel Gililov and Frank Fernández.

She has performed in various venues, including the “Shigeru Kawai Center” Auditorium in Madrid, the Medina Elvira Auditorium in Granada, the Kleines Studio Hall at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, the Elfer’s Hall at the Easter Music Center (Hotchkiss School) in Connecticut in the USA, in the Carnegie Hall in New York in the USA …

Among others, she has obtained the following awards:

(2020). 1st prize in the youth category in the X International Piano Competition “María Herrero”.

(2019). 1st prize at the VI International Piano Competition Ciudad de Sevilla, 1st prize at the V National Mozart Piano Competition Ciudad de Talavera, 2nd prize at the I International Piano Competition La Rioja.

(2018). 2nd prize and prize for the best interpretation of Spanish Music at the XXIII National Piano Competition “Ciutat de Carlet”, 2nd prize at the XXII Santa Cecilia Children’s Piano Competition, 2nd prize at the X Jerez Young Interpreters Competition.
